As summer starts and the temperature rises, staying hydrated becomes more important than ever. Besides just drinking water, there are more things you can do to keep yourself hydrated and healthy in the heat.
Most sports drinks boast they hydrate better than water and replace the electrolytes you lose during exercise. What they fail to mention is that a 20 oz bottle has 34 grams of sugar! Have you been working out to get in shape for summer? As it warms up you will need to exercise extra caution during your workouts. Also, keep a close eye out for pre-packaged, canned, and frozen meals because they tend to have more salt in them than you would expect!
